LORD JESUS CHRIST
After God found out what Cain did to his brother Abel, Cain was cursed from the ground or the earth. In other words wherever Cain walks that ground will reject him. Therefore he will become an unstable man throughout his life.
Genesis 4:11
11 So now you are cursed from the earth,
Man has no other place but to live his life on this earth. If a man willfully disobeys the word of God, that means he is living far away from God. He will have no relationship with God. God’s wrath is always on those who willfully reject Him. This is clearly illustrated in the Book of Genesis as we read in:
Genesis 4:12
12 When you till the ground, it shall no longer yield its strength to you. A fugitive and a vagabond you shall be on the earth.”
Did you know farming is not an easy task? Due to one person’s (Adam) sin, God punished the entire humanity. In Genesis chapter three, God cursed Adam because of breaking God’s commandment.
Genesis 3:17
“Cursed is the ground for your sake;
In toil you shall eat of it
All the days of your life.
You see God cursed Adam by saying that Adam has to toil or labor hard for food. But with regards to Cain, God cursed him by saying that the amount of labor does not equal to amount of produce. Meaning Cain could work all day, but he would produce only sufficient for one meal.
Now where did you hear this in the Bible? We see written in the Book of Revelation. “A day’s wages for a loaf of bread” is a phrase from the Bible that describes a time of severe famine and economic hardship.
Revelation 6:6
A quart of wheat for a whole day’s wage, three quarts of barley for a whole day’s wage,
The above passage from the Book of Revelation is from a futuristic perspective. What else happened to Cain? He was cursed to become a fugitive and a vagabond. Did you know why wicked men do evil things in the dark? Because they are the fugitives. They are scared of the day. Throughout the globe, the warlords and the drug lords conduct business in the dark so that they won’t get caught in the act.
God’s curse does not only apply to Cain but it applies to all those who have followed along the same path as Cain.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus!
