Why should the believers look for the rapture?

Luke 21:28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.

Believers should look for the rapture because it’s a biblical promise of hope and a time of joyful meeting with Christ, offering a way to escape the tribulation and be with the Lord Jesus Christ forever. The rapture is a source of comfort and encouragement, urging believers to live with urgency and faithfulness in their earthly lives.

Not Divisive, but Encouraging: The rapture is not meant to be a source of division among believers, but rather a unifying event that should encourage and uplift them. 

Biblical Promise and Hope: The rapture, where believers are taken up to meet Jesus in the air, is a significant event in Christian theology, offering a powerful hope of eternal life with Christ. 

Comfort and Encouragement: The belief in the rapture provides comfort and encouragement to believers facing difficult times on earth, reminding them of their ultimate destiny and the hope of being with the Lord. 

Urgency and Faithfulness: Knowing that Christ could return at any moment should motivate believers to live with urgency, faithfulness, and a desire to be ready to meet Him. 

Not a Secret Event: While the exact timing of the rapture is unknown, the Bible indicates that it will not be a secret event for the believers, but rather a public and visible manifestation of Christ’s glory. 

Prayer: Lord Jesus, we long for Your return. You promised to come again, and we eagerly anticipate that day. We thank You for the hope of the rapture, the glorious moment when we will be taken up to meet You in the air. Help us to live lives that are pleasing to You, filled with love, compassion, and faith. Grant us wisdom and discernment to discern Your signs and to remain vigilant. Guide us in our daily lives, that we may be ready to meet You when You come, both living and dead. In Jesus name. Amen.
