Bible Facts of the Day November 07, 2025 The Church Denominations that reject Israel

Genesis 12:3

I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

The recent Elections that took place few days ago in the United States and the victories that were won makes us wonder, how being a Muslim and a Democratic Socialist won fair and square as the next Mayor of the New York city. There are about 12% of Jews living in the NY city.

There are over 2,000 Churches in the same city but diverse with many types of denominations. One of the main reasons in America, being dominated by the Middle Eastern, Eastern and Far Eastern religions is because of the so called Churches having become faint to teach the fundamentals of true Biblical Christianity.

The so called Churches have compromised the Word of God and blended themselves with other religions and social justice causes. In other words they have compromised with the world.

In the Book of Genesis, chapter twelve beginning in verse one through three, God makes a promise to Abraham that He will bless those who bless him and curse those who curse him. Him is the patriarch Abraham. Abraham is the father of Isaac, whose son was Jacob. He was given a new name by God as Israel.

Today the majority of the world does not know this truth. Whether anyone likes this truth or not, the Word has been spoken by God. No one can alter the ordinances of God. This is an unconditional covenant made by God through Abraham to the peoples of the Earth, wherever they may live and belong. As it says in v12c that all the families of the earth shall be blessed.

When the people of NY and elsewhere decide to become anti-sematic and follow other religions, it’s easy to lose all the blessings that God had promised to Abraham. Since the world has chosen to become anti-sematic, that is hatred towards the Jewish people and towards the Jewish State of Israel, they are losing all the blessings and inheriting curses among themselves and among their nations.

Here’s a list of denominations that typically avoid the topic of Israel altogether — not out of hostility, but because it’s simply not part of their theological focus or liturgical tradition.

1. United Methodist Church (UMC)

  • Focus: Social justice, discipleship, grace, and community.
  • Why they avoid Israel:
The UMC reads the Bible through a Christ-centered lens and applies it ethically rather than prophetically. Israel (ancient or modern) is rarely a theme except when reading Scripture in context.

2. Presbyterian Church (USA)

  • Focus: Covenant theology, Reformed tradition, justice, and peace.
  • Why they avoid Israel:
Biblical Israel is viewed as symbolic of God’s covenant people; the modern nation of Israel is treated as a political reality, not a prophetic one.

3. Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA)

  • Focus: Grace through faith, sacraments, and community service.
  • Why they avoid Israel:
ELCA sermons and studies focus on Jesus and the Church. “Israel” as a nation has almost no presence in theology, preaching, or liturgy.

4. Episcopal Church (Anglican Communion in the U.S.)

  • Focus: Sacramental worship, liturgical tradition, and social justice.
  • Why they avoid Israel:
Homilies and prayers follow the Lectionary, focusing on moral and spiritual lessons — rarely any mention of modern Israel or prophecy.

5. United Church of Christ (UCC)

  • Focus: Inclusivity, social ethics, and personal faith.
  • Why they avoid Israel:
They approach Scripture metaphorically, not prophetically. Israel’s modern role is almost never discussed in sermons or official teaching.

6. Quakers (Religious Society of Friends)

  • Focus: Inner light, peace, simplicity, and equality.
  • Why they avoid Israel:
Quakers rarely mention Israel, prophecy, or end-times subjects. They emphasize Christ’s presence in all people rather than national or prophetic themes.

7. Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA)

  • Focus: Ethical living and spiritual diversity, not biblical prophecy.
  • Why they avoid Israel:
The Bible is not central authority; Israel is never discussed unless in a historical or interfaith context.

8. Eastern Orthodox Church (Greek, Russian, Antiochian, etc.)

  • Focus: Christ’s incarnation, resurrection, sacraments, and theosis (union with God).
  • Why they avoid Israel:
Israel’s ancient history is read typologically (pointing to Christ), but modern Israel has no theological significance and is not discussed.

9. Roman Catholic Church

  • Focus: Universal Church, sacraments, tradition, moral theology.
  • Why they avoid Israel:
Israel’s role is seen as fulfilled in Christ and the Church. Homilies focus on Gospel application, not on national Israel or prophecy.

Please comeback for more.

Heavenly Father,
We thank You for revealing Your truth through Your Word — for showing us that Your promises are sure and Your mercy endures forever.
Help us to understand Your plans not with pride or division, but with humility and faith.

Lord, teach us to see Your heart for all nations, and to rejoice that in Christ, You have made one people, redeemed by grace.
Keep us faithful to Your covenant love, walking in obedience and hope until the day Christ returns to gather His Church in glory.

Grant us peace, wisdom, and a spirit of unity as we live out Your Word in this world.
In Jesus’ precious name we pray,
Amen.
