Bible Facts of the Day November 10, 2025 The Two Questions God Will Ask Every Person

Romans 14:10-12

For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. 11 For it is written:

“If you stood before God today, and He looked you in the eye, what would He ask you?”

Every person—rich or poor, young or old, believer or skeptic—will one day stand before God.

Romans 14:12 says each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.

The Bible shows us that there are two ultimate questions we will all face.
These questions determine where and how we will spend eternity.

Scripture:

  • John 3:16–18“Whoever believes in Him is not condemned…”
  • Acts 4:12“There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
  • John 14:6“I am the way, the truth, and the life…”

It’s not about religion, good works, or church attendance—it’s about a relationship with Jesus Christ.

This question determines your eternal destiny.

God sent His Son to pay the price for our sins.

Salvation is not earned; it’s received by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8–9).

Illustration:

  • Imagine you are in a court room standing in front the Judge. You stand guilty, and Jesus steps in to pay your penalty.
The Judge (God) looks at you and says, “Debt paid in full.”

Have you personally received Jesus as your Lord and Savior?

Many know about Jesus but haven’t trusted in Him.

Scripture:

  • 2 Corinthians 5:10“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ…”
  • Matthew 25:14–30 – The Parable of the Talents
  • Romans 12:6–8 – God gives gifts to every believer.

Explanation:

The goal isn’t success in the world’s eyes—it’s faithfulness in God’s eyes.

This question is not about salvation, but faithfulness.

Every believer will give an account of how we used what God entrusted to us—our time, talents, treasure, and testimony.

Illustration:

  • Here’s the parable of the talents: one servant doubled what he was given, another hid his talent.
  • God doesn’t reward the biggest results; He rewards faithful hearts.

Application:

One day, you’ll hear either “Well done, good and faithful servant” or “You wicked, lazy servant.”

What are you doing with your gifts?

Are you using your life for eternal impact, or are you burying your opportunities?

Every person will face two questions at the end of life:

  1. What did you do with Jesus? (Salvation)
  2. What did you do with what I gave you? (Stewardship)
  • One determines heaven or hell.
  • The other determines reward or regret.

Closing Scripture:

  • Revelation 22:12 “Behold, I am coming soon; My reward is with Me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.”

“Father, help us to live in light of eternity.
Teach us to treasure Your Son above all else,
and to use our lives faithfully for Your glory.
May we one day hear You say, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant.’ In Jesus’ name, amen.”
