Bible Facts of the Day December 05, 2025 The Narrow Way

Matthew 7:14b (KJV)

And narrow is the way, ….

That whoever follows Lord Jesus Christ must choose the narrow way.

I. What does it mean to choose the narrow way?

  • Choosing the narrow way allows you to walk on the thorns and the thistles of life.
  • Thorns and thistles signify the trials and tribulations of life.
  • If anyone who does not experience the trials and tribulations, then that person is not working for Jesus Christ to the full extent.

II. Jesus chose to walk on thorns and thistles

  • Our Lord did not chose to walk on a flower bed but His life and His ministry was filled with various trials and tribulations.
  • Jesus declared in John 6:35, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.”
  • This means that along the narrow way, one can find only Jesus and nothing else.

III. You will find only Jesus along the narrow way

  • Many times, famous people declare that all roads lead to God but that is a false statement.
  • You see when God allowed for the Israelites to walk through the Wilderness, He only provided food from above, the Manna.
  • But the Israelites were not happy, they craved for other foods like meats
  • Numbers 11:4 declares, Now the mixed multitude who were among them yielded to intense craving; so the children of Israel also wept again and said: “Who will give us meat to eat?

IV. But God did not provide with the meat they liked

  • While walking through the narrow way, many so called believers crave for other worldly longings.
  • Whoever walks in the narrow way finds only Jesus Christ who came from above.
  • You will not find anything other than the Words of Jesus to feed upon.

V. God does not pity on those who are craving for food outside of Jesus Christ

  • God heard the murmurings of the Israelites and yet He fed them with Manna for forty years.
  • Only those who are strong in Christ are able to sustain this life. The food that God is going to feed His children is the hidden manna through His Son Lord Jesus Christ.

VI. Jesus made the way to His Father

  • Jesus Christ made the way to lead us to His Father.
  • That does not mean the path is clear of thorns and thistles.
  • It means that the path a born again believer choses is the path made by Jesus.
  • For He is the light of the world.

VII. Your Word is a lamp unto my feed and a light unto my path

  • Jesus is our Chief Shepherd.
  • The Shepherd goes ahead of the sheep to show them the Way.
  • The Good Shepherd gives His life for the sheep. (John 10:11)
