Romans 14:9

⁹ For to this end Christ died and rose and lived again, that He might be Lord of both the dead and the living.

Age old question: Those who have never heard of the Gospel, will Lord Jesus Christ still judge and punish them?

The answer may surprise the whole world. YES. Lord Jesus Christ will judge both the living and the dead for rejecting Him. The Lord God YAHWEH has given all authority to Jesus Christ.

Please allow me to present you with some facts:

I. For thousands of years man has been learning and learning and gaining worldly knowledge

• In the Book of Genesis, we read about a person by the name Tubal Cain.
• He is the seventh generation from Adam and he has a direct connection to his ancestor Cain, the murderer.
• Tubal Cain had two step brothers Jabal and Jubal
• Jabal invented the idea of living in the tents and rear livestock.
• While Jubal invented music by playing the harp and flute
• While the step brothers became innovators of nomadic living and music,

II. Tubal Cain specialized in the usage of weapons made out of bronze and iron.

Genesis 4:20-22

²⁰ And Adah bore Jabal. He was the father of those who dwell in tents and have livestock. ²¹ His brother’s name was Jubal. He was the father of all those who play the harp and flute. ²² And as for Zillah, she also bore Tubal-Cain, an instructor of every craftsman in bronze and iron.

• You see out of one family came soft and hard inventions.
• Yet, one reading this chapter will not find that none of these individuals called upon the name of the Lord.
• Ever since Tubal Cain’s ancestor Cain left the presence of the Lord, the entire generation after Cain began to live far away from the presence of the Lord God.
• These three brothers were indeed very smart, but they failed to search for God.

III. From that time onward man’s quest to learn more about the world has grown exponentially

• The current world that this generation is living has totally forgotten who their God is.
• For the rulers of their nations forbid anything but finding the true God.
• For this reason God the Father has sent His Son as the light of this world.
• When Christ is rejected by the nations, those places are filled with nothing but spiritual darkness.

IV. When the world rejects the living God, then nothing but spiritual darkness fills the Earth

• Famous men and women of this world are filled with ideas that are not filled with glorifying God.
• Christ’s first advent or the Christmas is about His coming into this world to save us from our sins.
• Matthew 4:16 says this: “The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light,
  And upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death
  Light has dawned.”
• Only a truly born again believer will understand what was spoken by the Prophet Isaiah hundreds of years ago.

V. Men can be powerful rulers of a nation, or a religious organization or could be the CEO of a large corporation

• Men and women can have strong personalities but if they are not seeking God, then they are living in total spiritual darkness.
• In this age we are seeing man’s progress in every field.
• No matter what one can achieve in life, without seeking Jesus Christ, they cannot enter into the kingdom of God
• Matthew 16:26 says this, “For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?”

VI. God is speaking to man this way, “He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?“ (Micah 6:8)

• Please do not be like Tubal Cain or Jabal or Jubal, “but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” (2 Peter 3:18)

VII. If a person decides to live in spiritual darkness all his life then when God calls that person, no opportunity will be given further

• No matter how busy a person is in this life, death is inevitable.
• God has appointed a time for every living person to die one day.
• Not even a second can be added to extend the life of any person, famous or infamous, rich or poor on this earth. Every person will die when the appointed time comes.
• The scripture says (Hebrews (9:27) that it is appointed for man to die once and then face God’s judgement.
• Karma does not exist and neither any of the false religions will come to rescue that soul.
