LORD JESUS CHRIST

Colossians 1:10

¹⁰ that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 

Today’s question: Are we treating God the same way He treats us?

If we claim that indeed we are the children of God then the question we need to ask ourselves is whether we are obedient to His Word or not.

Jesus Christ during His earthly ministry, proved Himself to be an obedient Son. He was loyal to His Father’s commandments. Jesus was a truthful Son to His Father. He sought His Father’s will at all times. Even during the most difficult times and the trials He faced, never let His Father down. Jesus spent a lot of time talking to His Father. Many times He separated Himself from the crowd and went up to the hills to be alone with His Father.

Jesus Christ loved His Father so much that there was no difference between the them (Father and Son). When Jesus declared that He and the Father are One. It meant that there’s no misunderstanding or contradiction between them.

John 10:30

³⁰ I and My Father are one.”

Our Lord was faithful to His LORD. Lord Jesus Christ grieved along with His Father. God the Father was so pleased with His Son that He set forth all authority in heaven and under the heaven and all authority over all things on the earth and under the earth to His only begotten Son.

Today we see in this world millions of fathers who have abandoned their children. We hear children abandoning their fathers and mothers. The society has stopped teaching about the bond between fathers and their sons.

Children growing up without a father are prone to commit lawless deeds. No father figure in kids lives allows children to grow with no accountability. If Churches abstain from preaching the relationship aspects between the father and their sons then children will grow up to be rebellious.

This is the reason the believers must teach their children from a very young age how Christ loved His Father and how obedient He was to His Father words. The earthly son must one day be able to say that he and his father are one because they have been joined by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Whoever commits a heinous act against any person shows that they were never taught about the love of God and the true relationship between the father and the son.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
