LORD JESUS CHRIST
Ephesians 2:8
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
Today’s question: Are we treating God the same way He treats us?
There are five senses of human beings. The five senses of humans are sight (vision), hearing (audition), smell (olfaction), taste (gustation), and touch (tactile perception). In the beginning, after man walked away from the Lord God, he was on his own in quest of finding new things suitable to the location wherever he settled down.
Man began to use his senses to learn new techniques. Because of the God given gifts that was embedded in Adam, it was passed on to his children. Therefore man was able to research and invent new tools for farming and many other things. When we read from the Book of Genesis chapter four we find that:
Genesis 4:22
22 And as for Zillah, she also bore Tubal-Cain, an instructor of every craftsman in bronze and iron.
Less than five generations from Adam, people were thriving. They learned how to make the tents, and how to tame the livestock. Every generation began to grow in the knowledge of this world. None of the family members of Cain knew God. But God did not leave them. His grace was upon them. Because of that, they were able to learn new things. This grace of God is called the common grace.
Look at the world we live in today. So many nations with so much of technological advances. We are all living in the age of artificial intelligence. Because of the common grace of God, man is achieving greater and mightier things. Although some men have misused God’s grace for their own benefit. Because of all these achievements man thinks, that it is all possible because of his own strength and labor. Have you ever read this from the Bible?
Psalm 127:1
Unless the Lord builds the house,
They labor in vain who build it;
Unless the Lord guards the city,
The watchman stays awake in vain.
Everyday we hear about the wars and the rumors of war. God’s common grace restrains the full extent of sin and its consequences, allowing for a degree of order and civilization in the world. Nations are marked by their boundaries. Did you know that God formed the mankind and He placed them according to His will and created the boundaries of those nations?
Acts 17:26
26 And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings,
Did you know that Adam’s blood divided us? This is the reason we have different nations, different races, and different languages. But did you also know that the blood of Jesus Christ united us? We who were far away have been brought close through the sacrificial death of our beloved Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We who are born again are one in Christ. As Christian believers there is unity among the brethren.
Every born again believer must think alike and talk alike for the common goal should be to share the good news or gospel of Christ. Even though this world receives all the benefits from God, they fail to acknowledge Him. If every one of them treats the Lord, the way He treats them then there wouldn’t be any wars and rumors of wars.
But we have the assurance from our Lord, that the day is approaching fast. As the world is on a quest to acquire more knowledge, suddenly the unexpected calamity will be upon those who did not treat God the same he treated them.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus!
