LORD JESUS CHRIST

Ephesians 2:8

⁸ For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 

Today’s question: Are we treating God the same way He treats us? The Book of Malachi says:

Malachi 3:6

⁶ “For I am the Lord, I do not change;
Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.

There is not a single nation on this planet that fears the Lord. With an approximate population of eight billion, how many individuals are truly treating the Lord the way He deserves? Think about this for a second. Every nation under the sun is rebelling against the Lord God, the Creator of this Universe. If the Lord wants to punish the nations, it would take a moment to do it. Since the attributes of our Lord are immutable, the nations are still surviving today.

Man gets his benefits everyday not because of his hard work but because the Lord grants His mercy and His grace to everyone. Every person living on this earth is given an opportunity in their lifetime to know the Lord Jesus Christ personally. But many of them reject this free offer which does not cost us anything. The people who walk away from God become the enemies of the Lord.

Colossians 1:21

²¹ And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works

Every false religion under the sun will one day be erased by our Lord. And every person who is following his own way will be judged by the Lord Jesus Christ. Those who have strayed from the laws of God and those who rejected the love of Jesus Christ will be held accountable for their actions. The Lord God of Israel is mistreated every second. People have the audacity to say whatever they want to say against the living God.

Many people tried to stone Jesus Christ during His ministry on earth. His own people rejected Him. Christ committed no harm to anyone. In fact He was gentle as a reed. “Gentle as a reed” in the context of the Bible, specifically Isaiah 42:3 (“A bruised reed he will not break, nor a smoldering wick snuff out”), signifies a gentle and compassionate approach, especially towards the weak and vulnerable, rather than a harsh or forceful one. 

Jesus’ approach towards the people was so gentle yet the Jews rejected Him. To this day, they are still rejecting Christ. And so are the other religions of the world. Without grasping the nature of Christ’s crucifixion, no one can comprehend or even believe that the death of Jesus could save someone from their sins.

A day is on the horizon where every born again believer will fall prostrate before the One and only Living God. This is only possible through the death and the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Through Him alone is the saving grace reserved for His Saints.

How should a true born again believer treat God? The believer should treat the Lord just the way He treats us. There is no shortcut. That means if the Holy Sprit dwelling in us gives us undivided attention at all times so we must give Jesus the undivided attention at all times and in all matters pertaining to life. There should not be any excuses. Just as one breathes in and out, so must we learn to communicate with Christ likewise.

Christ’s love compels us to love Him back the same way He loves us. We need to learn to reach out to Jesus Christ in spirit. Because flesh cannot manifest into spirit. The works of the flesh are an abomination to God. Only the Spirit of God can lead us into the throne room of Lord Jesus Christ.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
