LORD JESUS CHRIST

Ephesians 2:8

⁸ For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 

For a new hire employee of a company, one of the first things that the company hands over to the employee is called the handbook of an organization. An organization’s handbook, often called an employee handbook or a company handbook, is a document that outlines the company’s policies, procedures, and expectations for its employees, serving as a guide for workplace conduct and operations.

The purpose of this handbook is to inform employees about the company’s mission, values, policies, and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient work environment. Similarly when a person is saved by the grace God, he or she receives the gift of God, also called the Salvation. The Bible indicates that the Holy Spirit is sent into a person’s life when they believe in Jesus Christ and receive Him as their Savior. The Holy Spirit is like the Heaven’s handbook.

Acts 2:38

³⁸ Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Think about this for a minute, out of the billions and billions of people living on this earth, God singles you out and choses to adopt you into His family of Saints. Into His kingdom you are inducted. Did you know this selection is not by your effort or by your choice? Lord Jesus Christ declares in:

John 15:16

¹⁶ You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you

The odds of God choosing us is next to impossible. Not only did He chose us, but He adopted us into His kingdom as the children of God and because we are now His children, we are His heirs and co-heirs with Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 8:17

¹⁷ and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, 

Even the thought of becoming co-equal with Christ is incomprehensible. You see, because God loves us so immensely, He adopted us. We who belong to an earthen vessel, when God breathed on us, life came into us. Thus we came to life. But sin corrupted man’s flesh causing it to decay and turn back to dust once the life leaves that person.

A person who God formed out of dust, after accepting Christ as the Lord and Savior is now washed by the blood of the Lamb who paid the ultimate penalty through His death, to save us from our sins. This is the God we serve. If we really want to experience the power, and the glory of God, if we really want to experience the love of the Father, look nowhere but Lord Jesus Christ who was crucified for our sins. He is the image of the invisible God.

Christ’s dying threefold words were, “It is finished.”

The Hebrew word for the threefold English word is, “Nishlam”. “Nishlam” signifies completion, fulfillment, and the idea that a debt or obligation has been settled. The word “Nishlam” comes from the Hebrew word “shalom,” meaning peace, wholeness, and tranquility. 

Lord Jesus Christ died for you and for me. Through His death, those who have become the children of God have received the peace, wholeness and the tranquility of God.

In closing for God to chose sinners like us out of the billions and billions of people shows how much God loves and cares for us. Because God wants to reconcile with us through His Son Jesus Christ.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
