LORD JESUS CHRIST
Ephesians 2:8
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
Do you know why men are divided when it comes to knowing God? The current estimates of the world religions are somewhere in the range of ten thousand. Did you know even within the Christianity different theological view points exist? If everyone receives the same Holy Spirit, why are there so many people acting and quoting the scriptures so differently?
The answer is simple. Many so called theologians are not driven by the Holy Spirit. Instead they add their own commentaries based on their own understanding. Spending time with the Holy Spirit requires a lot of prayer and meditation on the Word of God. One has to develop intimacy with the Spirit of God. This is not some magic trick to master.
The reason we pray is to let God know that we are helpless in this world. And that we need Him to act on our behalf. If we believe Bible as the authoritative Word of God, then we must also believe that God is sovereign. God’s sovereignty rules over the entire creation. If a person believes in God’s sovereignty, then his testimony will be that he was a sinner before but now is saved by grace through faith for it is the gift of God.
After receiving Jesus Christ into our hearts, the journey of knowing the Holy Spirit intimately begins. Without the intimacy with the Holy Spirit, no one can know who God is. Today countless number of Christians claim to know Christ but in reality they do not know Him. Far too many times they speak on behalf of Christ. They take the lead, instead of giving Jesus to lead them.
Take for example the word ‘dispensationalism’. Dispensationalism is a theological term that interprets the Bible by dividing the history into distinct periods or “dispensations,” each with God’s unique interaction with the humanity, and emphasizing a literal interpretation of Old Testament prophecies, particularly regarding Israel’s future.
How many people today believe that Israel is God’s glory? Many Christian denominations totally ignore Israel. Very few preachers preach about Israel and the end times. Israel will play a major role in these last days. Critics argue that Israel has no part in leading to the second coming of Christ. Christians are called the covenant people. We live by faith through the covenant of God. Similarly God made a covenant with Abraham that He will bless those who bless him and curse those who curse him.
The Christians who ignore Israel are simply ignoring Lord Jesus Christ. Through Abraham, God ordained His Son Lord Jesus Christ to come into this world.
Genesis 12:3
3 I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
All the families of the earth would be blessed in Abram, pointing forward to the Lord Jesus Christ, who would be a descendant of Abram.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus!
