LORD JESUS CHRIST
Genesis 4:16
16 Then Cain went out from the presence of the Lord and dwelt in the land of Nod on the east of Eden.
Many times we hear from preachers that God has given to each one of us the free will to chose. That’s correct. The free will is the ability to chose or ignore the One and the only true God. But because one choses to ignore God, He will not strike that person with a lightning bolt. God’s grace will still continue until that person breathes his last breath.
Even though Cain went out from the presence of the Lord, he was not put to death. Cain was a murderer. He killed his own brother Abel with a pre-meditated desire. What did the Lord do? He allowed Cain to become a vagabond and a wanderer. The Bible does not mention how long did Cain live but some interpret that he lived for six hundred years. During that time he must have had several children. King David wrote Psalm 37. He says in:
Psalm 37:10
10 For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more;
Indeed, you will look carefully for his place,
But it shall be no more.
You see God allowed ten generations from Adam to Noah to prosper regardless of their sinful nature. Ten generations is approximately 250 to 300 years and that’s a long time. The Bible does not describe what acts of sin these wicked generations committed but it sure was the time of their end.
God’s grace extends to every one living on this earth. But if the grace given by God is misused then there is no sacrifice that can bring peace in that person’s life.
What is this grace? The Hebrew word “khen” (often translated as “grace” or “favor”) is used in the Bible to describe God’s unmerited favor toward humanity, and it is considered one of God’s principal attributes. Jesus Christ is the embodiment and source of God’s unearned favor, mercy, and love, offering salvation and forgiveness to humanity.
Lord Jesus Christ is the ultimate expression of God’s grace, as He lived a life of love, compassion, and sacrifice, ultimately dying on the cross to atone for humanity’s sins.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus!
