    Luke 2:49

And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?”

Jesus came to fulfill the Father’s business. Some translations use the word affairs, or house in place of business.

Jesus Christ came into this world to fulfill the task that was given to Him by His Father. In order to fulfill His Father’s will, Jesus Christ was given all authority in heaven and on the earth and under the earth. This is revealed in the Book of Philippians chapter two:

    Philippians 2:10

that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth

Jesus also declares His authority given to Him by His Father in the Gospel of Matthew chapter twenty eight:

    Matthew 28:18

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

Even though the angel announced the birth of Jesus Christ to Joseph and Mary, little did they understand the divinity of Christ. If Christ didn’t open their understanding then they would never know who the Lord Jesus Christ is. The birth of Christ was written in the Book of Isaiah long time ago but still Mary and Joseph could not grasp this. Not knowing that Jesus was God in flesh they searched three days for Him.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.

    Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus!
