    John 1:12

12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:

God is the initiator and the originator of this vast Universe. To every human being born into this world, God gives an opportunity to seek Him. But many decide to stray away from the course that God wants for us. But to those who receive Christ as their Lord and Savior, Jesus gives them the right to become the child of God.

What are the benefits in becoming a child of God? Simple answer is that the benefits are endless. The first and foremost answer is that we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. The scripture goes on to say that we are saved not by our hard work but by the grace of God which is a free gift of God. This process of getting saved by the grace of God is called justification.

The word “justification“ comes from the Greek word dikaiōsis, which was originally a legal term meaning “to make [someone] righteous”. In Hebrew, the term for “to justify” is hitsdik, which means “to declare judicially that one’s state is in harmony with the demands of the law”. Biblically speaking, being justified deals with a person being declared righteous before God by their faith in Jesus Christ.

The One who knew no sin became sin for us. Innocent blood of our Lord Jesus Christ was shed for the remission of our sins.

    Maranatha!
