1 In the beginning God created the heavens …..
Before God created the earth, God created the heavens first says the scriptures. God is a God of order. There are many things that man cannot understand about the creation. Because of man’s foolishness, man has reached to a conclusion that is entirely different from God’s wisdom and His vision. In this world today there are approximately 4000 religions. Men don’t understand the mystery of this beautiful creation by God. They use their own finite mental or intellectual ability that leads them to chaotic ideas that are destructive in nature. One persons wrong choice or decision can take an entire nation in the wrong direction. History has repeated itself time and time again.
If the earth that God created looks so beautiful, can we fathom how much more the heaven that He created looks like? Heaven is primarily God’s dwelling place mentioned in the Bible: a parallel realm where everything operates according to God’s will. Heaven is a place of peace, love and worship, where God is surrounded by a heavenly court and other heavenly beings and creatures. In John 14:2, Jesus said, “In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” Our Lord Jesus gave the assurance to His disciples (and to us) that He was going to prepare a place that belonged to His Father that had many dwelling places for you and me. So that He would come back and take us to this beautiful place.
Today there are many billionaires that are tagging with the rich and elite to settle down in the Mars. Man can only learn and understand what has been given to him by God. The word heaven is mentioned 692 times in the Bible. 405 times in the Old Testament and 287 times in the New Testament. If heaven was not real then the writers of the Bible under the inspiration of Holy Spirit would not mention it. Where would you feel safe to live? is it the Mars or the Heaven? (Cont’d)
