    Ephesians 2:1

    By Grace Through Faith

2 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,

Apostle Paul in his epistle to the Ephesians reminds that every born again believer before they were saved by the grace of God through faith, were dead in trespasses and sins. Let us examine what trespassing means. It means to do something that is not lawful. Perhaps you have seen a sign saying do not trespass, private property, violators will be prosecuted or something that says private parking, do not park, car will be towed etc. Trespass is a legal term. Psalm 24 verse 1 says, “The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein.” The Lord is the owner of the earth. He owns the land and the people and everything therein for He is the creator of the earth. So, when men do things whatever pleases them is trespassing against God. When men build shrines and other structures, we are displeasing God and therefore deserve death. For the scripture speaks that the wages of sin is death.

This has been the case since the beginning of this world. Verse 4 speaks, 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. God out of His abounding grace, He has made us alive together with Christ Jesus. Even today there are many in this world trespassing God’s love and continuously sinning by living a worldly lifestyle. This the reason the Word of God dictates that every believer should thank the Lord in all circumstances. No complaints. Everything we touch or see belongs to God. We should not give a hard ear to the teachings of the scriptures. Nothing is granted to us but everything is given to us by God through Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ’s return is imminent. So, let us prepare our hearts and minds and seek Christ for who He is.

    In Jesus precious name! Amen.

    Maranatha!
