BIBLE FACTS OF THE DAY

  • God’s Word of the Day October 21 2022

    October 21st, 2022

    Acts 9:20

20 Immediately he preached the Christ in the synagogues, that He is the Son of God.

St. Paul then called Saul had one thing going on in his mind. He was threatening the followers or the disciples of the Lord by saying that he would kill them and went to the high priest asking letters of permission to attack the Christians from the synagogues of Damascus. Acts 9:4, describes that as he journeyed towards Damascus, fell to the ground and heard a voice. The voice he heard was that of Jesus. A person who had hatred for the followers of Christ all of a sudden encountered Jesus Christ. Saul was a Pharisee by nature who was a member of a Jewish sect, distinguished by strict observance of the traditional and written law, and commonly held to have pretensions to superior sanctity. He made himself to be a self-righteous person; a hypocrite.

After encountering Christ, Saul’s life changed instantly for he became blind. For he could not see the world anymore. This was an earth shattering moment in Paul’s life that later on led him to begin preaching the Word of God to the gentiles immediately meaning there was little preparation time in presenting himself to serve the Lord.

Unless a person encounters Christ, which is a life changing event, he or she is not able to understand the nature of God. Any person who wants to be used by God has to experience Jesus Christ in their life such as never before, no matter how great the previous earthly achievements of this life all combined together maybe. Jesus gives us a new perspective, a new meaning for our life. Because not only He is the Son of God but He is God who came into this world in flesh. So, let us rejoice today and be glad in His presence. Without Jesus there’s no hope. In Jesus name! Amen.

    Maranatha!
