    John 1:12-13

12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

People who receive Jesus Christ as their personal savior have been given the right to become the children of God. Verse 13, continues to say that children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God are the only ones that will receive the right to become the children of God. In order for anyone to become the child of God, first of all He or she needs to repent of their sins, they have committed by confessing to God through His Son and believe that their sins have been washed by the blood of Jesus. The blood of Jesus creates a bond between us and God, and thus gives us the authority or the right to become the children of God and inherit the Kingdom of God. The blood of Jesus not only cleanses the sins but also nurtures the spiritual growth of a believer.

An individual cleansed by the blood of Jesus has received the free gift of salvation, thus inheriting the full rights to the Kingdom of God. A child of God fears God, through which he/she acquires the knowledge and wisdom from above. Not as the world offers. Let us meditate on what it means to become a child of God. In Jesus name! Amen.

    Maranatha!
