³¹ He who comes from above is above all; he who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.

• John: Jesus himself declares that his Father is greater than all, placing Jesus in a position of supreme authority and power within God’s plan. 

Ways Jesus is Considered Greater Than All

Eternal and Unchanging: He is eternal and unchanging, standing in contrast to the fleeting nature of human life and the created order. 

Divinity and Origin: Unlike created beings, Jesus is the divine Son of God, a being of divine origin who deserves worship. 

Authority and Creation: He is greater than the angels and possesses authority over all creation, as the heavens and earth are the work of his hands. 

Redemption and Sacrifice: Jesus, through his death on the cross, provided an eternal and sufficient sacrifice for the cleansing of sins, a feat no other could achieve. 

Overcoming Challenges: Christians believe Jesus is greater than any problem, temptation, or suffering one might face, as his power and love are limitless.
