DISCERNMENT
Psalm 148 declares the majesty of God the Creator. In that Psalm, verses eleven and twelve are written to all the peoples of the earth. Each one is commanded to praise the Lord. So, this is a command for all the people of the earth to praise the name of the Lord. Whether they are the kings of the earth or the princes, and whether young or old all are summoned to praise the Lord and exalt Him high above everything.
Psalm 148:11-12
11 Kings of the earth and all peoples;
Princes and all judges of the earth;
12 Both young men and maidens;
Old men and children.
13 Let them praise the name of the Lord,
No one is left out or exempt from praising the Lord God. The Bible goes on further to say that even the dead who disobeyed and rejected God when alive will praise the Lord and give an account to God for what they did and how they lived during their lifetime. We see this mentioned in the Epistle to the Philippians:
Philippians 2:10-11
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
There’s no escape from the living God. There’s no hiding place that can hide us from the Face of God. Every action of each individual is on the record in Heaven. To spiritually discern means to live a life pleasing the God of Heaven and Earth. Lord Jesus Christ has been given the authority over all the creation. Anyone who rejects Jesus Christ rejects the Giver of Life.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
Maranatha!
