1 Thessalonians 5:9

⁹ For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ

God doesn’t intend to punish us, but wants us to be saved by our Lord Jesus Christ. No earthly parent would expect their children to grow up and not listen to what the parents want to say. Every person born into this world as a baby and passes through the stages of life. The baby has the ability to learn everything that the parents teach and the baby begins to understand and learns to grow. Similarly the creator of every baby is God and the broader sense is that God expects each one to obey Him and learn to grow up in His presence. As parents never give up teaching their kids so does God. He never gives up training His children.

A person who grows according to God’s will, grace, mercy and love will never be put to shame. God has provided a way for everyone born into this world to seek Him. God sent His Son Jesus Christ and appointed Him to be the only way that will lead us to the Father. Let us meditate today on how we are appointed to obtain salvation through Jesus Christ.
