LORD
When a person makes Lord Jesus Christ as the Lord of his or her life, they are saying that they have surrendered their life one hundred percent to Christ. They have committed everything to Christ. Every cell in their body has to surrender to the authority of Lord Jesus Christ. When Christ died on the cross, the last words that He spoke was:
Luke 23:46
46 And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My spirit.’ ” Having said this, He breathed His last.
Lord Jesus Christ submitted to the will of the Father with no second thoughts. This is called perfect submission.
Christ Jesus holds the keys to every man’s life. He alone has the authority to unlock that persons life and set him free from sin and bondage of slavery. A person who has been set free from this world’s ways, that means he has been delivered from death to life. Many Christians neglect this truth and they think that they get a free pass to do whatever they are pleased with. That is not how it works in a Christian believers life. A true believer in Christ has to learn to wait upon the Lord’s will.
A great example is from the scriptures in the Old Testament is illustrated like this:
Numbers 9:17
17 Whenever the cloud was taken up from above the tabernacle, after that the children of Israel would journey; and in the place where the cloud settled, there the children of Israel would pitch their tents.
The above verse is a clear example of how the Lord’s will works. This verse illustrates how the God of Israel moved. The Israelites could not force God to move to the next place. Instead they had to literally wait for the cloud to be lifted up that is His presence is taken up. See, many times without understanding the will of God we force our Lord to do many things thinking that it is okay and that He will listen to us instead of us listening to Him and waiting upon Him.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
Maranatha!
