THANKSGIVING
The Psalmist in Psalm 100 is encouraging God’s people to praise the Lord for His faithfulness towards His people and to sing joyfully acknowledging that the Lord is God.
Psalm 100:4
4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
We are reminded by the Psalmist that we are God’s people and we all share the same calling. The analogy used here is that of sheep and the green pasture. When we look at the sheep no matter how many, they all look the same because they all feed from the same pasture. When we belong to God, there is no difference between race, color and language. God’s children inherit the same qualities. Because we all feed from God’s pasture through His Son Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus claimed in John 6:41 that He is the bread that came down from heaven. Those who are truly born again, will feed on this bread that came down from heaven.
We enter through Jesus Christ who is the gate with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise. Imagine us just by entering into the gates of His presence we are filled with so much of thanksgiving, how much more will we be filled with thanksgiving and gratitude when we enter into the holiest of holies. That is the reason a Christian should always rejoice in the presence of the Lord. The joy of the Lord is salvation.
Today there are millions of people who do not know who God the Father is. Because they do not know who the Lord Jesus Christ is. For this reason the Lord Jesus Christ came into this world 2000 years ago to show us the way to the Father. Let us all enter into His gates with thanksgiving and bless His holy name. In Jesus name! Amen.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus!
