It is recorded in the Bible that the virgin shall be with child and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel. Why was the birth of Jesus Christ announced hundreds of years ago by the Prophets? Moses the greatest prophet declared in the Book of Deuteronomy,
Deuteronomy 18:15
15 “The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your midst, from your brethren. Him you shall hear,
Moses prophesied, speaking to the Israelites that the Lord God will raise up a Prophet just like him from the among the brethren. Moses also commanded the Israelites to hear Him (Jesus). To confirm this prophecy God Himself responded by saying this:
Deuteronomy 18:18
18 I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him.
Many times man cannot understand the things that God ordains it to pass because it is beyond man’s understanding. No doubt man’s knowledge is vast but it is incomparable to the knowledge of God.
As we continue to read the passage in Deuteronomy chapter eighteen and verse nineteen, God is sternly warning to pay attention to His words which He speaks through His Prophet Lord Jesus Christ. God requires every person hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Deuteronomy 18:19
19 And it shall be that whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus!
