Every person born out of the mother’s womb is born with a corrupted heart condition. It means that a man’s heart determines the lifestyle he choses to live. This is because of the original sin committed by Adam and Eve also called as the fall of man in the Garden of Eden. Because of this ancestral sin, every one born into this world inherits sin. The Bible very clearly declares that a person’s heart is desperately wicked and deceitful.
Jeremiah 17:9
“The heart is deceitful above all things,
And desperately wicked;
Who can know it?
But the beauty of our Lord Jesus Christ’s birth is that He was born sinless. He is the only One that was born out of the womb without any corruption. God is holy and because of His holiness, He is unable to sin. Holiness means to be set apart. Set apart from sin and its sinfulness. Sin separates us from God who loves us unconditionally. For this reason Christ came into this world to separate us from our sins. Unless we are separated from sin, we are unable to enter into the kingdom of God. So, the only Person that can separate us from our sins is Lord Jesus Christ. The scripture in Second Corinthians declares this:
2 Corinthians 5:21
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Christ had no sin in Him. If we consider God as a sinner even for a second, then there is no one who can address man’s sinful condition. So, the entire creation is doomed including the heaven and the creatures therein. Because God is holy and because of His love and mercy upon His creation we are not consumed.
Jesus Christ was born sinless and lived a sinless life. In spite of temptation by the devil and in spite of continuous persecution by the Jews and the Romans, He overcame all the trials of life and ultimately paid the penalty by offering Himself as a living sacrifice. In all the things that Christ faced He was more than a conqueror. Nothing stopped Him from accomplishing the task that was set before Him.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus!
