Bible Facts Of The Day, February 21, 2026 “From Darkness To Life”

Man’s search for aliens — whether on this planet or on distant worlds — has fascinated humanity for generations. Books, documentaries, and films often imagine strange beings invading the earth. Movies portray aliens as creatures from outer space, unknown and unfamiliar.

But simply put, the word alien means someone or something that does not belong to a particular place or group.

From a biblical standpoint, aliens are not necessarily beings from another planet. They may be much closer than we think.

An alien could be someone from within our own circle:

  • parents or siblings
  • sons or daughters
  • in-laws or grandparents
  • friends, co-workers, or even a boss

In spiritual terms, anyone around us could be an alien.

According to the Word of God, when a person is born again, they receive a new citizenship. As Epistle to the Philippians 3:20 declares, “our citizenship is in heaven.” The moment we come to Christ, we become part of God’s kingdom.

We are given:

  • a new identity
  • a new nature
  • a new family
  • a new home

We belong to heaven.

This means believers are no longer truly at home in this world. In fact, the Bible says we are strangers and pilgrims here. Our values, desires, and direction are different because we are “in Christ.”

On the other hand, those who have not been born again remain separated from the life of God. As Epistle to the Ephesians 4:18 explains, they are “alienated from the life of God.”

So spiritually speaking:

  • the Christian may feel like an alien in the world
  • and the world is alien to the kingdom of God

The difference is not race, status, or family background — it is spiritual birth.

Therefore, aliens are not far away in space. They may be sitting next to us at the dinner table, working beside us, or living in our own homes.

The real question is not, “Are there aliens out there?”
The real question is, “Which kingdom do I belong to?”

Because every person belongs either to the kingdom of this world or to the kingdom of God.
