Bible Facts Of The Day, February 26, 2026 “The Living Power Of The Word Of God”

Introduction

Many people think of God’s throne as a place of fear.

A throne usually means:

  • Authority
  • Judgment
  • Punishment

If a criminal stands before a throne, he expects condemnation.

But this verse gives us a beautiful surprise.

For the believer, God’s throne is not a throne of judgment —
It is a throne of grace.

Instead of running away from God, we are invited to come near.

1. The Invitation — “Let us come”

God does not say:

  • Stay back
  • Keep your distance
  • Try harder first

He says: Come

This is an open invitation.

Not:

  • Pastors only
  • The perfect only
  • The strong only

But “let us” — everyone who belongs to Christ.

When Jesus died, the veil in the temple was torn. Access was opened.

We no longer need a human priest.
We don’t need an appointment.
We don’t need a ritual.

We can come anytime.

Application:
Stop avoiding God when you fail. Run to Him instead.

2. The Attitude — “Come boldly”

Boldly does not mean arrogantly.
It means confidently.

Not confidence in ourselves —
But confidence in Christ.

We come boldly because:

  • Our sins are forgiven
  • Our debt is paid
  • Our High Priest intercedes for us

We don’t crawl in fear like slaves.
We approach like children to a loving Father.

A child doesn’t rehearse a speech before asking for help.
They simply run to their parent.

That is how God wants us to come.

Application:
Pray with confidence, not hesitation. God is not annoyed by your prayers.

3. The Place — “The throne of grace”

This is amazing.

The same throne that rules the universe is a throne of grace.

Grace means:

  • Unearned favor
  • Undeserved kindness
  • Blessing we did not earn

God does not deal with us according to what we deserve.
If He did, none of us could stand.

Instead, He deals with us according to grace.

When we come to Him, we don’t find anger waiting —
We find grace waiting.

Application:
Your failures don’t shock God. His grace is already prepared.

4. The Promise — “Obtain mercy and find grace”

Notice the two gifts:

Mercy — for the past

Mercy means God does not give us the punishment we deserve.

Our past sins? Forgiven.
Our guilt? Removed.

Grace — for the present and future

Grace means God gives us strength we don’t deserve.

Not only pardon — but power.

We don’t just survive; we are helped.

God doesn’t say, “Try harder.”
He says, “Here is My help.”

Application:
Don’t just ask for forgiveness — ask for strength.

5. The Timing — “In time of need”

God’s help is always on time.

Not too early.
Not too late.

Right when you need it.

When:

  • Temptation hits
  • Fear rises
  • Sickness comes
  • Bills pile up
  • Grief overwhelms

That is your “time of need.”

And that is your invitation to the throne.

Sometimes God allows need so we will learn to come.

Application:
Your need is not a sign God abandoned you — it is a call to approach Him.

Conclusion

Because of Christ, the throne is not a courtroom — it is a grace room.

So:

  • When you sin — come
  • When you’re weak — come
  • When you’re afraid — come
  • When you’re confused — come

Come boldly.
Come often.
Come now.

The door is open.

And at the throne of grace, you will always find mercy, grace, and help.
