DANIEL 12:1

12 “At that time Michael shall stand up,
The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people;
And there shall be a time of trouble,
Such as never was since there was a nation,
Even to that time.
And at that time your people shall be delivered,
Every one who is found written in the book.

The Tribulation period is a future seven-year time of global catastrophe, war, natural disasters, and intense persecution, according to Christian theology. Key events include the rise of an Antichrist who will establish a false peace and demand allegiance through the Mark of the Beast, leading to widespread death and suffering for those who refuse to worship him. Many biblical interpretations suggest the Church will be removed before these events begin, leaving the world to face these hardships and judgment.  

What to Expect

• Global Catastrophe: The world will experience unprecedented natural disasters, such as earthquakes, famines, and the darkening of the sun and moon. 
• War and Conflict: Wars will escalate, and people will face intense persecution for their faith. 
• The Antichrist: A world leader known as the Antichrist will rise to power, initially promising peace and signing a treaty with Israel. However, he will later break this treaty and establish a kingdom of evil, demanding people take his Mark to buy and sell. 
• Increased Deception: False prophets and deceptive doctrines will proliferate, leading many people away from the truth. 
• The Rapture: Many interpretations hold that the Christian Church and the Holy Spirit will be removed from the earth at the beginning of the Tribulation period. This is a belief known as the Rapture, in which believers are taken to heaven before these severe events occur. 
• Martyrdom: Those who reject the Antichrist and the Mark of the Beast will be martyred, while those who do accept will face a bloodbath of persecution. 

Purpose of the Tribulation

Turning to God: While many will suffer, some people will be saved during this time. The period serves to complete God’s discipline of the nation of Israel and provide a final chance for the world to repent. 

Judgment and Discipline: The Tribulation will be a time of judgment for the unbelieving inhabitants of the earth.
