The arrival of our Lord Jesus Christ into this world is the reason for the Christmas season. Christmas celebration is not a yearly once tradition but it is a living experience of every breath we breath in and out. Only those are called the truly born again Christian believers. No one can truly experience the Christmas unless they experience the birth of Jesus Christ in their own hearts.
You see Christ did not chose to be born in a rich person’s mansion nor did He chose the fanfare of the elite. There was neither the New York Times to announce His birth nor the CNN to break the news. Even Herod the Great was curious to find out who this King was as he was afraid that Jesus might take his place.
The place God chose for His Son to be born was in a manger. A manger is considered to be quite unclean because it is a feeding trough for farm animals like oxen, meaning it would be filled with hay, leftover food, and animal waste, making it a very dirty and messy place in a stable; essentially, a manger is the opposite of clean due to its intended use with animals.
Lord Jesus Christ was born in a very unclean place. Did you know until we allow Christ into our hearts we all are like the manger. Dirty and rotten inside. But when we allow Christ to be born in us, He will turn the dirty and rotten lifestyle of ours into something meaningful and holy as He is holy. The people of this world have so many ways finding fun in their lives. They have so many ways in finding out other gods. As a matter of fact there’s a plethora of gods in this world that a man can chose to please himself.
For example, one can approach a rich god if they want to get rich or if they want to gain knowledge there’s another god for that and so on. But no one in the history of mankind will ever be able to find any of the lower case ‘g’ gods who left their heavenly sovereignty and came into this world in the form of a little baby. It is only the Lord Jesus Christ who left everything in heaven and came as the Son of Man. He is the only One who is the true God of this creation.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus!
