BIBLE FACTS OF THE DAY

Habakkuk 2:3c

“Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.”

Faith waits confidently because it knows God’s promises cannot fail.

Introduction

Our greatest struggle is often NOT believing God’s promise—

It is believing His timing.

The Christian life is filled with seasons of waiting.

But biblical waiting is not passive.

It is active trust.

I. Waiting Is an Act of Faith

Faith continues praying.

Faith continues serving.

Faith continues worshiping.

Faith refuses to quit.

Faith says,

“I may not understand today,
but I trust God tomorrow.”

II. God’s Perspective Is Different

From our perspective—

It feels delayed.

From God’s perspective—

It is perfectly on time.

Peter reminds us:

“With the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”

God sees eternity.

We see today.

III. The Greatest Vision Is Still Coming

Habakkuk ultimately points beyond Judah.

It points to Jesus Christ.

Israel waited centuries for the Messiah.

At God’s appointed time—

Jesus came.

Now the Church waits again.

Not for Bethlehem—

But for His glorious return.

Just as surely as Christ fulfilled every promise of His first coming,

He will fulfill every promise concerning His second coming.

The King is coming.

Conclusion

Do not abandon your faith because of a delay.

Do not surrender because the vision seems slow.

God has never broken a promise.

He never will.

The vision will surely come.

God’s promises are worth waiting for because God’s character is perfectly trustworthy.

Closing Prayer

“Father, give us enduring faith as we wait for the fulfillment of Your promises. Keep our eyes fixed on Christ and fill us with hope as we look forward to His return. May we remain faithful until the day the vision is fully revealed.
