THE ONE TRUE GOD: WHY CHRIST CANNOT BE COMPROMISED

Isaiah 45:5

“I am the LORD, and there is no other; there is no God besides Me.”

INTRODUCTION: MANY GODS OR ONE TRUE GOD?

Beloved, we live in a world filled with countless spiritual paths, philosophies, and gods.
Some say, “All religions are different expressions of the same truth.”

But the Bible does not leave room for that idea.

The God of Scripture declares boldly:
 “There is no other.”

Truth is not plural.
Truth is absolute.

1. THE NATURE OF GOD: ONE OR MANY?

The Bible teaches:

Deuteronomy 6:4
“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one!”

God is not one among many—
He is the only true and living God.

Isaiah 44:6
“I am the First and I am the Last; besides Me there is no God.”

 Christianity proclaims:

• One sovereign Creator
• Eternal, unchanging, personal

Any belief system that embraces multiple gods or impersonal divine forces stands in direct contradiction to this truth.

2. CREATOR VS CREATION

The Bible draws a clear line:

Genesis 1:1
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”

God is separate from creation.

But humanity often falls into the trap of worshiping created things.

Romans 1:25
“They exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator.”

 The difference is clear:

• Christianity: God is distinct from His creation
• Other systems: blur the line between creator and creation

3. THE IDENTITY OF JESUS CHRIST

Everything comes back to Jesus.

John 14:6
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

Jesus is not one of many paths—
He is the only way.

John 1:1,14
“The Word was God… and became flesh.”

 If Jesus is just one teacher among many,
then the cross loses its power.

But if Jesus is God in the flesh,
then He stands above all.

4. SIN: THE REAL PROBLEM

The Bible teaches:

Romans 3:23
“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

Sin is not illusion.
It is a real offense against a holy God.

And sin brings judgment:

Romans 6:23
“The wages of sin is death.”

 The problem is not ignorance—
The problem is sin.

5. SALVATION: GRACE, NOT HUMAN EFFORT

Human effort cannot remove sin.

Ephesians 2:8–9
“By grace you have been saved through faith… not of works.”

No amount of:

• Good deeds
• Rituals
• Self-discipline

can cleanse the heart.

That is why Jesus came.

1 Peter 2:24
“Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree.”

 Christianity declares:

• Salvation is a gift
• Purchased by the blood of Christ

6. THE CROSS: THE ONLY WAY OF REDEMPTION

1 Corinthians 1:18
“The message of the cross… is the power of God.”

Without the cross:

• No forgiveness
• No redemption
• No eternal life

Jesus did what no human effort could ever do.

John 19:30
“It is finished.”

7. THE FINAL AUTHORITY: GOD’S WORD

2 Timothy 3:16
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God.”

The Bible is not one voice among many—
It is God’s revealed truth.

And it consistently declares:

 One God
 One Savior
 One way

8. LOVE WITHOUT COMPROMISE

We are called to love all people.

But love does not mean blending truth with error.

John 8:32
“You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

True love speaks truth boldly and humbly.

CONCLUSION: THE GREAT DECISION

Joshua declared:

Joshua 24:15
“Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve… But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

Today, that same choice stands.

• Many gods or the One True God
• Many paths or One Savior
• Human effort or Divine grace

 One Truth
 One Way
