Bible Facts Of The Day, May 13, 2026 “The Bride Must Seek the Will of the Bridegroom – Part III”

Part 3 — Christ and the Church: The Mystery Revealed

The first Adam failed, but God sent the Last Adam — Jesus Christ.

“The first man Adam became a living being.’ The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.” — 1 Corinthians 15:45 NKJV

Jesus came to restore what was lost in Eden.

Adam’s side was opened to bring forth Eve.

Christ’s side was pierced to bring forth the Church.

“But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.” — John 19:34 NKJV

The Church was purchased through His blood.

“Take heed… to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.” — Acts 20:28 NKJV

Under the Old Covenant, Israel was called the wife of God.

“For your Maker is your husband,
The LORD of hosts is His name.”
— Isaiah 54:5 NKJV

“‘Return, O backsliding children,’ says the LORD; ‘for I am married to you.’” — Jeremiah 3:14 NKJV

Under the New Covenant, every born again believer becomes part of the Bride of Christ.

“For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.” — 2 Corinthians 11:2 NKJV

Salvation is not merely joining a religion.

Salvation is becoming one with Christ.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV

Every born again believer belongs exclusively to Jesus Christ.

We are joined to Him spiritually.

We are called to remain in Him continually.

Jesus said:

“Abide in Me, and I in you.” — John 15:4 NKJV

The helper must remain connected to the Bridegroom.

Before making decisions, seek Him.

Before ministry, seek Him.

Before speaking, seek Him.

Before moving forward, seek His will.

Even Jesus continually sought the will of the Father.

“I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.” — John 5:30 NKJV

“Nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” — Luke 22:42 NKJV

Closing Prayer

Father in Heaven,
Thank You for sending Your beloved Son, Jesus Christ, to redeem us and make us one with Him. Thank You for the blood of the cross that purchased us and brought us into covenant relationship with You. Lord Jesus, we desire to abide in You continually. Teach us to seek Your will before every decision, every ministry, every word, and every step we take. Let us never move ahead of Your presence. Fill us with the Holy Spirit and help us to remain connected to You daily. Remove every distraction, every worldly affection, and every selfish ambition that pulls us away from Your heart. Let our lives glorify You in all things. May we walk in complete surrender to Your perfect will.

In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
