Bible Facts Of The Day, May 26, 2026 “The Faulty Priesthood and the Perfect High Priest – Part III”

PART III — JESUS CHRIST: THE PERFECT HIGH PRIEST

Introduction

Aaron failed.
The priests died.
The sacrifices ended.

Then Jesus came.

Not from the tribe of Levi — but from Judah.

Not after the order of Aaron — but after the order of Melchizedek.

1. Jesus Never Failed

Aaron built a golden calf.

Jesus resisted Satan in the wilderness.

Aaron feared the people.

Jesus obeyed the Father unto death.

Aaron sinned.

Christ was sinless.

2. Jesus Became Both Priest and Sacrifice

Every Old Testament priest offered another sacrifice.

Jesus offered Himself.

The cross became the final altar.

The blood of Christ accomplished what animal sacrifices never could.

3. Jesus Entered the True Holy Place

Earthly priests entered earthly temples.

Jesus entered heaven itself.

The veil tore because access to God was finally opened.

4. Christ’s Priesthood Never Ends

Earthly priests died.

Jesus rose again.

He lives forever to intercede for His people.

Because He lives eternally, His salvation is eternal.

Conclusion

The old priesthood was flawed because it depended on sinful men.

But Jesus is the flawless High Priest.

He is holy.
He is eternal.
He is perfect.

And through Him we may boldly approach the throne of grace.
