PART IV — THE FINAL TEMPLE AND THE COMING GLORY
Introduction
The first temple lost the ark.
The second temple lacked the former glory.
But God’s final dwelling with humanity will never fade.
1. Jesus Became the True Temple
When Christ came, God’s presence no longer dwelt in a box.
The fullness of God dwelt bodily in Christ.
The true mercy seat was no longer hidden behind curtains.
It walked among men.
2. Believers Become God’s Temple
Through the Holy Spirit, God now dwells within His people.
The New Covenant is greater than the old because God writes His law upon the heart.
3. Earthly Temples Will Pass Away
Jerusalem’s temple was destroyed again in 70 A.D.
Why?
Because the true sacrifice had already come.
God was showing the world that salvation is not found in buildings, rituals, or earthly priests.
It is found in Christ alone.
4. The Final Glory Is Coming
Revelation says:
“I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.”
No veil.
No sacrifices.
No death.
No imperfect priests.
Only the eternal presence of God and the Lamb forever.
Final Conclusion of the Series
The Levitical priesthood began with a golden calf.
But redemption ended with a bloody cross and an empty tomb.
Aaron failed.
Christ triumphed.
The old covenant revealed man’s weakness.
Jesus revealed God’s perfect salvation.
The ark disappeared.
But the true glory came down from heaven.
And His name is Jesus Christ.
Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus!
