Faithful Workers Never Retire

John 9:4 (NKJV)

“I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.”

Introduction

Retirement exists in earthly employment.

But there is no retirement in God’s Kingdom.

Assignments may change.

Strength may diminish.

Methods may differ.

But serving never stops.

Until God calls us home…

our work continues.

1. Moses Served Until His Final Days

At eighty…

God called Moses.

At one hundred twenty…

he was still serving.

Age never disqualified him.

Faithfulness qualified him.

2. Caleb Wanted More Work

Joshua 14

At eighty-five years old…

Caleb asked for the mountain.

He was not asking for retirement.

He wanted another assignment.

His passion never grew old.

3. Paul Finished His Race

2 Timothy 4:7

“I have fought the good fight…”

“I have finished the race…”

“I have kept the faith.”*

Paul never resigned.

He remained faithful until the end.

4. Spiritual Laziness Is Dangerous

Many believers become comfortable.

Church attendance replaces service.

Knowledge replaces obedience.

Opinion replaces ministry.

God is looking for laborers…

not spectators.

Jesus said,

“The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.”

Notice…

Not few churches.

Few workers.

5. Your Assignment Is Unique

Not everyone has the same ministry.

Some influence one soul.

Others influence thousands.

God never measures success by numbers.

He measures faithfulness.

Closing

A candle fulfills its purpose only while burning.

Likewise,

our lives glorify Christ while faithfully serving Him.

Challenge

Don’t ask,

“How little can I do?”

Ask,

“Lord, what more can I do?”
