PART V — HONOR

THE NAME ABOVE EVERY NAME

Revelation 5:12 — “…and HONOR…”

Earth dishonored Jesus.

Heaven honors Jesus.

Men mocked His name.

Heaven magnifies His name.

1. Christ Was Dishonored by Humanity

They accused Him.

Mocked Him.

Struck Him.

Spat upon Him.

Stripped Him.

Crucified Him.

Isaiah described Him as:

“Despised and rejected by men.”
— Isaiah 53:3

2. The Father Has Exalted Him

Philippians 2:9 declares:

“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name.”

The rejected Christ has become the exalted Christ.

3. Every Knee Will Bow

Philippians continues:

“that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow…”

There are knees today that refuse to bow.

But Revelation shows us where history is heading.

Every knee will bow.

4. Honor Christ With Your Life

It is possible to honor Jesus with our mouths while dishonoring Him with our lives.

Christ deserves more than Sunday worship.

He deserves Monday obedience.

Tuesday holiness.

Wednesday faithfulness.

Thursday devotion.

Friday surrender.

Saturday service.

And Sunday worship.

Worthy is the Lamb to receive HONOR!

“Maranatha! Even so, come, Lord Jesus!”
