PART III — WHAT IS THE ANTICHRIST’S JOB?

“To Counterfeit, Control, Blaspheme, and Destroy”

Revelation 13:7

“It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.”

The Antichrist has no divine “office” or legitimate calling from God. His role in prophecy is one of satanically empowered opposition to God’s purposes.

His activity can be summarized in several major areas.

1. COUNTERFEIT CHRIST

Satan is a counterfeiter.

He does not create truth.

He imitates and corrupts it.

Christ brings true peace.

The Antichrist presents counterfeit peace.

Christ receives His kingdom from the Father.

The Beast receives authority from the Dragon.

Christ speaks truth.

The Antichrist operates through deception.

Christ gives eternal life.

The Antichrist ultimately produces destruction.

2. CONSOLIDATE AUTHORITY

Revelation 13:7 describes extraordinary international authority:

“…authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.”

Whatever precise political structures lead to this condition, Revelation portrays the Beast exercising enormous transnational influence.

3. BLASPHEME GOD

Revelation 13:6:

“Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name…”

His rebellion eventually becomes unmistakable.

He attacks the name of God.

He challenges God’s authority.

He opposes God’s people.

4. PERSECUTE GOD’S PEOPLE

Daniel 7:25 says:

“He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, shall persecute the saints of the Most High…”

Revelation likewise describes warfare against the saints.

The Antichrist’s kingdom cannot peacefully coexist with uncompromising allegiance to Jesus Christ because Christ alone claims ultimate lordship.

5. EXERCISE ECONOMIC CONTROL

Revelation 13:16–17 describes a system in which people cannot buy or sell without the mark associated with the Beast.

This combines allegiance and economics.

The issue is therefore deeper than technology.

The central biblical issue is worship and loyalty.

Revelation’s warning should not be reduced to speculation about barcodes, microchips, digital currencies, or any particular modern technology like AI. Scripture emphasizes allegiance to the Beast.

APPLICATION

The spirit of the age continually asks:

“How much truth are you willing to surrender in order to belong?”

But Jesus asks:

“Will you follow Me?”

The Christian must determine beforehand:

I will not exchange truth for acceptance.

I will not exchange Christ for comfort.

I will not exchange eternal life for temporary security.

“Maranatha! Even so, come, Lord Jesus!”
