PART IV — WHO IS THE ANTICHRIST AFFILIATED WITH?

“The Dragon, the Beast, and the False Prophet”

Revelation 13:2

“The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority.”

Here Scripture takes us behind earthly politics into spiritual warfare.

1. HIS ULTIMATE AFFILIATION IS WITH SATAN

Revelation 12:9 identifies the Dragon:

“So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan…”

Revelation 13 then says that this Dragon empowers the Beast.

Therefore the Antichrist’s deepest affiliation is not fundamentally with a modern political party, present-day nation, corporation, denomination, or international institution.

His ultimate source of empowerment is Satan.

2. HE IS ASSOCIATED WITH THE FALSE PROPHET

Revelation 13 introduces another Beast.

Later Revelation identifies him as the False Prophet.

Revelation 19:20 says:

“Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence…”

The False Prophet directs people toward the Beast.

So Revelation presents a satanic alliance:

The Dragon — Satan

The Beast — Antichrist

The False Prophet — religious propagator and deceiver

Satan provides authority.

The Beast exercises rule.

The False Prophet promotes worship of the Beast.

3. HIS KINGDOM IS CONNECTED WITH THE TEN KINGS

Revelation 17:12–13 says:

“The ten horns which you saw are ten kings… These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast.”

Daniel 7 also describes horns representing kings or kingdoms.

This indicates a political coalition associated with the Beast’s rise.

But Scripture does not explicitly identify these ten kings with a current organization such as the European Union, United Nations, NATO, or another present-day institution. Such identifications go beyond what the biblical text itself states.

4. HIS KINGDOM WILL TURN AGAINST CHRIST

Revelation 17:14 gives us the climax:

“These will make war with the Lamb…”

Imagine the arrogance.

Created beings attempt to wage war against their Creator.

Earthly rulers gather.

The Beast rises.

Satan deceives.

Armies assemble.

But then Scripture gives one of prophecy’s greatest declarations:

“The Lamb will overcome them.”

Why?

“For He is Lord of lords and King of kings.”

5. JESUS CHRIST DESTROYS THE ANTICHRIST

Paul tells us how the Antichrist’s career ends:

“…whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.” — 2 Thessalonians 2:8

Notice the contrast.

The Antichrist spends his career displaying power.

Christ returns—

and his kingdom collapses.

Revelation 19:20 says:

“Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet… These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.”

The Antichrist does not conquer Jesus.

Jesus conquers him.

“Maranatha! Even so, come, Lord Jesus!”
