A 79-Day Journey from Promise to Bethlehem —
November 1–10 | God Is Working Even When Heaven Seems Silent
PART III — WAITING FOR THE PROMISE
DAY 29 — NOVEMBER 5, 2026
NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD
Luke 1:37
Nothing can prevent Almighty God from accomplishing His divine purposes. The miraculous conception of Jesus Christ demonstrates that God’s power is limitless and His promises never fail.
Introduction — When the Impossible Becomes Possible
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Yesterday, we learned that God never forgets His covenant.
Today, we discover that nothing can prevent God from fulfilling His promises!
When the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary, he announced something extraordinary.
Although she was a virgin, she would conceive and give birth to Jesus, the Son of God.
Humanly speaking, this was impossible.
But Gabriel declared in Luke 1:37:
“For with God nothing will be impossible.”
What a powerful declaration!
WHAT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR HUMANITY IS NEVER IMPOSSIBLE FOR ALMIGHTY GOD!
1. God’s Power Has No Limits
Brothers and Sisters,
Human beings are limited by time, strength, knowledge, and circumstances.
But God is not limited by His creation.
Jeremiah 32:17 declares:
“There is nothing too hard for You.”
The God who created the heavens and the earth possesses unlimited power.
No obstacle can defeat His purposes.
No earthly authority can overturn His will.
WHEN GOD DETERMINES TO ACCOMPLISH SOMETHING, NOTHING CAN STOP HIM!
2. The Virgin Birth Reveals God’s Power
Mary asked Gabriel how she could conceive since she had not known a man.
Gabriel explained that the Holy Spirit would come upon her and the power of the Highest would overshadow her.
Luke 1:35 reveals that the Child would be called the Son of God.
This was not an ordinary birth.
It was a supernatural act of God.
The eternal Son would take on human nature without ceasing to be God.
Isaiah 7:14 had foretold the birth of Immanuel.
THE MIRACLE OF CHRISTMAS REVEALS THE POWER AND FAITHFULNESS OF GOD!
3. God’s Promises Are Greater Than Our Circumstances
Consider Abraham and Sarah.
They were advanced in age, yet God promised them a son.
Genesis 18:14 asks:
“Is anything too hard for the LORD?”
Isaac was born according to God’s promise.
Centuries later, Mary received an even greater announcement.
The promised Messiah would enter the world.
Brothers and Sisters, our circumstances may appear impossible, but God’s ability never diminishes.
However, faith does not mean God must fulfill every personal desire.
True faith trusts that God is able to accomplish everything He has promised, according to His perfect will.
4. The Greatest Miracle Is Our Salvation
The miraculous birth of Jesus Christ points us toward His mission.
He came to save sinners.
Through His sinless life, sacrificial death, and victorious resurrection, Christ accomplished redemption.
Matthew 19:26 declares:
“With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
We cannot save ourselves through good works.
But God provides salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.
THE GOD WHO MADE THE VIRGIN BIRTH POSSIBLE ALSO MADE OUR REDEMPTION POSSIBLE THROUGH HIS SON!
Conclusion — Trust the God of the Impossible
Brothers and Sisters,
As we prepare for Christmas, remember:
God promised a Savior.
God fulfilled His Word.
The virgin conceived.
The eternal Son became flesh.
The Savior accomplished redemption.
And the same Lord Jesus Christ will return in glory.
Do not measure God’s power by your limitations.
Measure your confidence by His faithfulness.
NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD!
THE KING HAS COME, AND THE KING IS COMING AGAIN!
Closing Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You that nothing is impossible for You.
Thank You for sending Your beloved Son into the world through the miraculous virgin birth.
Forgive us for the times we have allowed doubt and fear to weaken our faith.
Help us trust Your power, believe Your promises, and submit to Your perfect will.
As we prepare for Christmas, fill our hearts with wonder at the miracle of Christ’s coming and gratitude for the salvation He accomplished.
In the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we pray.
Amen.
