1. The Passing Savior

“Now as Jesus passed by…”

Jesus was on a mission. He was moving, teaching, confronting religious leaders—but in the middle of His journey, He stopped.

This is the mystery of divine attention:
He is always moving in purpose, yet never too busy to notice one broken life.

• The world passes by the hurting.
• Religion passes by the imperfect.
• But Jesus never passes without seeing.

You may feel overlooked, ignored, forgotten—but heaven has eyes for you.

2. The Man No One Noticed

“…a man who was blind from birth.”

This man had never seen light. Never seen color. Never seen faces.
His condition was not temporary—it was lifelong.

He represents:

• The sinner born in spiritual blindness
• Humanity unable to see truth without divine intervention
• A life defined by limitation and dependence

People likely walked past him daily. He became part of the background.

But what others ignored, Jesus focused on.

3. The Gaze That Changes Everything

“He saw a man…”

This is not a casual glance—this is a divine encounter.

Jesus didn’t just see his condition—He saw:

• His pain
• His isolation
• His destiny

When Jesus sees you:

• He sees beyond your past
• He sees beyond your labels
• He sees what you can become

Others see your problem.
Jesus sees your purpose.

4. Blindness with a Purpose

As the story unfolds in John 9, the disciples ask, “Who sinned?”

But Jesus shifts the narrative:

“Neither… but that the works of God should be revealed in him.”

This is powerful:

• Not every suffering is punishment
• Not every struggle is failure
• Some situations exist so that God’s glory can be revealed

What if your struggle is not your end—but your stage?

5. From Darkness to Divine Light

Jesus heals the man—not instantly with a word, but through a process.

• He makes clay
• Applies it to the eyes
• Sends him to wash

Why? Because transformation is not just an event—it is a journey of obedience.

The man obeyed… and came back seeing.

6. The Greater Miracle

The physical healing was powerful—but the spiritual awakening was greater.

By the end of the chapter:

• The blind man sees Jesus as a prophet
• Then as one sent from God
• Then he worships Him as Lord

Meanwhile, the Pharisees—who had physical sight—remained spiritually blind.

This is the paradox:

• The blind can see
• The seeing can be blind

Conclusion: Your Encounter Moment

This story begins with Jesus passing by—but it ends with a man transformed.

Today, the question is not:
“Is Jesus passing by?”

The question is:
Will you respond when He sees you?
