BIBLE FACTS OF THE DAY

  • Bible Facts Of The Day, March 12, 2026 “God’s Judgment, His Power Over Creation”

    March 12th, 2026

    Introduction

Genesis 7:17 reveals about God’s judgment, His power over creation, and His faithfulness to preserve the righteous.

    1. The Beginning of God’s Judgment on a Corrupt World

This verse marks the full outbreak of the Flood that God had warned about. Humanity had become violently corrupt (Genesis 6:5–13), and the flood was divine judgment on sin.

    It shows that:

    • God is patient, but He does judge wickedness.
    • When God’s word is spoken, it will surely come to pass.

The flood was not random—it was a righteous response from a holy God.

    2. God’s Protection of the Righteous

While the waters of judgment covered the earth, the ark carrying Noah and his family was lifted up above the destruction.

This reveals an important spiritual principle:

    • The same waters that destroyed the world lifted the ark.

God knows how to protect those who walk with Him even in the middle of judgment.

    3. A Picture (Type) of Salvation Through Christ

Many theologians see the ark as a prophetic symbol of salvation.

    Just as:

    • Noah entered the ark to escape judgment,
    • believers enter salvation through Jesus Christ.

The ark had one door, symbolizing that there is one way of salvation.

Jesus later echoed this truth in John 10:9:
“I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved.”

    4. God Lifts His People Above the Storm

Genesis 7:17 says the ark “rose high above the earth.”

    Spiritually this shows:

    • When judgment comes, God elevates and preserves those who trust Him.
    • The deeper the flood, the higher the ark rose.

In the same way, trials can actually lift believers closer to God.

    5. A Prophetic Warning for the Last Days

Jesus referenced Noah’s days as a pattern of the end times in Matthew 24:37:

“As the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.”

The world ignored Noah’s warning until judgment came suddenly.

    Genesis 7:17 reminds us that:

    • God’s warnings are real.
    • Judgment can come unexpectedly.
    • Salvation must be entered before the door closes.

    In summary, Genesis 7:17 reveals:

    • The reality of God’s judgment
    • The protection of the righteous
    • A symbol of salvation
    • A prophetic warning for humanity
    • The truth that God lifts His people above destruction

    Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus!
