Part 1 — The Creation of the Helper: God’s Divine Design
From the very beginning, God established divine order. Before sin entered the world, before death and sorrow touched creation, God revealed a heavenly mystery through Adam and Eve.
Adam was formed from the dust of the ground, but Eve was brought forth from Adam himself.
“And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. Then the rib which the LORD God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.” — Genesis 2:21–22 NKJV
Eve was not created separately from Adam. She came out of him. She belonged to him. She was connected to him.
Adam declared:
“This is now bone of my bones
And flesh of my flesh.” — Genesis 2:23 NKJV
This was the first covenant union established by God Himself.
Marriage was not merely a companionship. It was a divine mystery revealing spiritual truth.
The helper was created to walk in unity with Adam, assist him, and remain attentive to the purpose God had given him.
“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” — Genesis 2:24 NKJV
This union prophetically pointed to Christ and His Church.
The apostle Paul later reveals:
“This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.” — Ephesians 5:32 NKJV
Adam represented Christ.
Eve represented the Church.
Just as Eve came out of Adam, the Church comes out of Christ.
Just as Eve belonged to Adam, the Church belongs to Jesus Christ.
“For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones.” — Ephesians 5:30 NKJV
The Church is not merely an earthly institution. The Church is the Bride of Christ.
Closing Prayer
Heavenly Father,
We thank You for revealing Your divine purpose from the very beginning of creation. Thank You for creating us to be united with Christ and for calling us to be part of His glorious Body. Lord, teach us to understand the mystery of covenant, unity, and obedience. Just as Eve came forth from Adam, help us to recognize that we belong completely to our Lord Jesus Christ. Remove every spirit of independence, pride, and rebellion from our hearts. Teach us to walk closely with You in humility and surrender. Let our lives reflect the beauty of Your divine order. May we remain faithful to the calling You have placed upon us as the Bride of Christ.
In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus!
