Bible Facts Of The Day, May 30, 2026 “Weep for Yourselves – Part II”

Part II — Jerusalem: A Nation Under Warning

Judgment comes when truth is continually rejected.

1. Jerusalem Rejected Its Messiah

Israel had:

  • the prophets,
  • the covenants,
  • the temple,
  • the Scriptures,

yet rejected the Son of God.

2. Jesus Saw Coming Judgment

The destruction of Jerusalem in A.D. 70 fulfilled Christ’s warning.

The city that rejected peace experienced devastation.

3. National Sin Has National Consequences

When nations:

  • reject truth,
  • celebrate evil,
  • persecute righteousness,

they move toward judgment.

4. God’s Patience Has Limits

God is merciful, but persistent rebellion invites accountability.

“Righteousness exalts a nation,
But sin is a reproach to any people.”
— Proverbs 14:34

Closing Challenge:

What happens to a nation that rejects Christ repeatedly?
