Bible Facts Of The Day, June 10, 2026 “From Kidron to Gethsemane: The Road of Surrender and Victory – Part IV”

PART IV – Gethsemane: The Place of Surrender

Victory begins when self-will ends.

Introduction

The most important words spoken in Gethsemane were:

“Nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” – Luke 22:42

This is where redemption was embraced.

Main Points

1. The Greatest Battle Is the Battle of the Will

Every believer eventually faces:

  • My plans or God’s plans
  • My desires or God’s desires

2. Adam Failed in a Garden

Adam chose:
“My will be done.”

3. Christ Won in a Garden

Jesus chose:
“Your will be done.”

4. Every Disciple Must Learn Surrender

Christianity is not merely believing.

It is yielding.

Application

Ask yourself:

What area of my life have I not surrendered to God?

Closing Challenge

Your breakthrough begins where your resistance ends.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with humble hearts, laying down our plans, our desires, and our will at Your feet. Teach us to pray as Jesus prayed, “Not my will, but Yours be done.”

Lord, where there is resistance, give us surrender. Where there is fear, give us faith. Where there is pride, give us humility. Help us to trust Your wisdom when we do not understand and to follow Your leading even when the path is difficult.

May our lives be fully yielded to You, so that Your purpose may be accomplished through us. Let the victory of Christ be seen in us as we choose obedience over self-will and Your glory over our own desires.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ,

Amen.
