PART III — The Word of God Is the Believer’s Greatest Weapon

Matthew 4:4

“It is written…”

Introduction

Jesus did not argue.

He did not debate.

He quoted Scripture.

The Creator of the universe defeated Satan using the written Word.

This teaches every believer that victory is found in God’s truth.

Three Lessons

1. Scripture Exposes Satan’s Lies

The devil speaks deception.

God speaks truth.

Truth always overcomes lies.

2. Scripture Nourishes the Soul

Jesus declared:

“Man shall not live by bread alone…”

Food feeds the body.

God’s Word feeds the soul.

Many people eat three meals daily but neglect spiritual nourishment.

The strongest believers are those who continually feed on God’s Word.

3. Scripture Produces Endurance

When trials continue, God’s promises sustain us.

His Word gives:

• peace
• hope
• wisdom
• courage
• perseverance

God’s promises never fail.

Application

Make Bible reading a daily necessity—not an occasional activity.
