BIBLE FACTS OF THE DAY

  • Bible Facts Of The Day, March 21, 2026 “A Savior Who Understands”

    March 21st, 2026

    1. We Have a High Priest — Not a Distant God

The writer of Hebrews begins with assurance:

    “We do not have…”

In other words—don’t misunderstand who Jesus is.

    He is not:

    • distant
    • disconnected
    • unaware

He is our High Priest—our mediator, our representative before God.

In the Old Testament, the high priest:

    • entered the Holy of Holies
    • carried the sins of the people
    • stood between God and man

    But Jesus is greater.

    He doesn’t just represent us…
    He understands us.

    2. He Sympathizes With Our Weaknesses

    The word “sympathize” means:
    to feel with
    to suffer alongside

Jesus doesn’t just observe your pain—
    He enters into it.

    He knows:

    • what it feels like to be tired (John 4:6)
    • what it feels like to be rejected (Isaiah 53:3)
    • what it feels like to weep (John 11:35)
    • what it feels like to be betrayed (Luke 22:48)

    You may say:
“No one understands what I’m going through.”

    But heaven responds:
    “Jesus does.”

    3. Tempted in Every Way — Just Like Us

“…was in all points tempted as we are…”

    This is staggering.

    Jesus experienced:

    • temptation of the flesh (Matthew 4:3)
    • temptation of pride (Matthew 4:6)
    • temptation of power (Matthew 4:8–9)

    And beyond that:

    • pressure
    • suffering
    • emotional agony in Gethsemane

    He stood where you stand.

He felt the pull you feel.

    Yet…

    4. Without Sin — The Perfect Savior

    “…yet without sin.”

Here is where Jesus is not just like us—
    He is greater than us.

    He faced everything…
    and never fell.

    Why does that matter?

    Because:

    • A sinful priest cannot save sinners
    • A broken bridge cannot carry weight

    But Jesus:

    • remained pure
    • remained holy
    • remained victorious

    Therefore, He is able to:
    save completely
    forgive fully
    intercede eternally

    5. What This Means for You

    Because of this verse:

You are never alone in your struggle

    Jesus understands your battle.

You are never disqualified by your weakness

Your weakness is the very place He meets you.

You have access to real help

Not theory—living help from a living Savior

    6. The Invitation (Connect to Hebrews 4:16)

    Because Jesus understands…

    You don’t run from God
    You run to God

“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace…”

    Not in fear.
    Not in shame.
    But with confidence.

    Closing Exhortation

Jesus is not standing at a distance, waiting for you to get it together.

    He is:

    • a sympathetic High Priest
    • a sinless Savior
    • a present help in time of need

    So when you are:

    • weak
    • tempted
    • overwhelmed

    Don’t hide.

    Run to Him.

Because the One who calls you…
has already walked in your shoes—and conquered.

    Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus!
